Autumn Rose

The garden may be preparing to hibernate, but there are still amazing little treasures to find.

You would not expect roses to put on a big show at this time of the year, but just look the colours my tiny Rosa spinosissima has managed to produce!

And just in case you are wondering, I haven’t enhanced the colours in any way, the leaves really were that vibrantly colourful.

Apart from cropping, and the occasional adjustment to exposure, I usually do very little to my photos on the computer. And that’s not because I don’t think they need any further work, it is just that I haven’t yet figured out how to use Photoshop (I am slightly embarrassed to admit).

Somehow it is just easier,  or at least less time and energy consuming, just to accept my photos as they come, faults and all.
